What I’ve Been Up to In June

With most of the US in various states of re-opening, and California reopened on June 15th, this month was a naturally beautiful and socially awkward month for me. It is good to know that, with the danger of the Delta variant looming in the background, we have not seen an obvious resurgence of COVID cases. Hopefully that trend will continue until we are fully out of it.

Here are the things that kept me busy this past month, aside from the day-to-day ‘job’ related stuff…

Creating and hacking stuffs

  • Game development: somehow I’m taking forever to ramp up on the game development engine, so only sharing a small update of the mock here
  • Weekly drawings – I continue to develop my skill and style
  • Writing: similar to last month, while I continue to maintain my blog and Medium publication, the story I have been developing slowly morphed into a children’s book, at least for the current state.
  • Fun art projects: aside from the ‘Tang Poem’ sketching project I regularly churn out weekly, and the pixel arts that were part of the game development effort, I started to develop other arts on the side, for fun.

    * Fan of ‘Stranger Things‘ anyone? 🙂
  • Merch store – Not much here, I did added the Samurai above into something practical:

Learning Stuffs

  • Full-stack Javascript course continues – expecting to finish in July…

Consuming Stuffs

  • Reading:
    • Finished reading ‘Yellow Brick War’ (Dorothy Must Die Book #3), started ‘The End of Oz’ (Book #4)
    • Finished reading ‘How to Talk so Teens will listen, Listen so teens will talk’, returning to resume ‘A Promised Land
  • Gaming:
  • TV:
    • Westworld session 3 – I enjoyed this series a lot! Gonna need some patience for the next season.
    • All 7 Conjuring movies – yeah… the last Annabelle and The Nun were… not recommended.

If you really finished reading the above, I thank you, and wish that my sharing would either entertain you, or inspire you (if you’ve been thinking about your own creative projects). Until next month!
