Welcome to my weekly letter, where I share a few noteworthy articles and my own commentary. Without further ado…
Weekly Read
- The Healing Power of JavaScript (Wired) – it’s a programmer’s way of self-help: set up to achieve small victories everyday, and it helps one to cope with whatever disaster or craziness out there.
- Now for AI’s Latest Trick: Writing Computer Code (Wired) – continuing from the last post… unfortunately the method of self-healing for the programmer is now taken by AI, perhaps we can still debug or code review [for AI] as the means of self-help? 😀

- My Dream of the Great Unbundling (Wired) – This is a soothing piece that helps to ground our anxious minds a bit during this period of big tech distrust. Big tech started small too, and it’s not necessarily bad if they provide the value of either convenience, or enabling us to build our own small tech, which hopefully could be big some days.
- Tech keeps trying to ‘fix’ recipe sites. Food bloggers wish they’d stop. (protocol) – a nice read to understand the culprit of recipe sites having bad user experience: SEO (and I can totally attest to the same for Chinese recipe sites also.)
- Huge QR code fly over the sky of Shanghai – QR code drone marketing Shanghai (qrcode-tiger.com) – next up, ascii arts with these amazing drones!

Have a nice weekend!
