May was an interesting month. My younger son turned 4. A ton of last minute spring cleaning around the house. A few impromptu small family/friends meet-ups we haven’t done for more than a year, and now adults are all vaccinated… all while I continue the best effort to stay on my creative schedule. 🙂 Here are the things that kept me busy this past month, aside from the day-to-day ‘job’ related stuff…
Creating and hacking stuffs
- Game development – I spent some time refining the design doc and then jumped right into creating mocks and game assets. Below is a gameplay mock and a special attack. Next month I should be getting into actual coding (or ‘non-coding’ )

- Drawing: I continue to develop my skill and style

- Merch Store: I’ve added some new merch from arts to my store, check it out!

- Writing: Same as last month, nothing much to share, as I continued to slowly develop a story, while maintaining my blog and Medium publication
- etc: I also set up a few Chia plots and started farming on a Raspberry Pi 4 64bit box. Thanks for introducing this interesting crypto currency to me, @Marcos! 😉
Learning Stuffs
- Continuing Javascript full-stack web development course, started last month.
Consuming Stuffs
- Reading: ‘Yellow Brick War’ (Dorathy Must Die Book #3), ‘A Promised Land’, also started ‘How to talk so teens will listen & listen so teens will talk’ (guess how old is my elder son? ;D)
- Gaming: ‘Ori and the Blind Forest‘ @ 57%, ‘Beautiful Desolation‘ (almost done, I think)
- TV: Binge-watch Westworld (almost done with all 3 seasons, still loving it!)
- Started the new season of Handmaid’s Tale and ‘Star Wars Bad Batch’ but found myself a bit tired of their stories. (sorry fans of these two shows. For any consolation, I have been a long time fan of both, but somehow the magic stopped working on me now.)
- Movies: Tenet – it’s great! similar to Memento, will watch it again later because… that’s just how you watch Christopher Nolan’s movies 😀
If you really finished reading the above, I thank you, and wish that my sharing would either entertain you, or inspire you (if you’ve been thinking about your own creative projects). Until next month!
